Studio Moshi’s latest production is a highly stylised and dynamic 2D animated series where you can bring your best and push the limits of your creativity. Join a bold, fast-paced series packed with chaos, comedy and larger-than-life storytelling for a global audience.

We are on the search for character and prop designers to help bring explosive characters, high-energy action and wildly unpredictable adventures to life with a crew pushing creative boundaries every day. Designers will transform rough designs into detailed production-ready assets, create new prop and character designs, complete character turns and mouth charts, and provide expression sheets for animators to bring the characters to life.

*Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident*
Start date: Mid-June 2026
Work Location: Brisbane and Greater QLD Preferred, Remote AUS considered
Reports to: Design Lead, Art Director, Supervising Director

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES
• Ability to interpret design briefs and reference material
• Ability to take design from rough through to production-ready assets
• Strong drawing and posing abilities with a solid understanding of anatomy and perspective.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high artistic standards.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Toon Boom Harmony
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise work to meet goals or deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality over all matters and proprietary information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Complete character asset turns, mouth charts, expression sheets
• Create prop and character assets in line with style guide and design briefs
• Work collaboratively with animators and directors to establish clear visual style
• Ensure that characters interact naturally with backgrounds and props.
• Maintain quality control over character and prop proportions
• Address feedback from supervisors and make necessary revisions.
• Work within established production timelines and deadlines.
