Digital Media Technician

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Media Technician to join TVT.

Working on high quality, household name programmes, you will primarily evaluate & correct video programmes, tailoring content to the specifications of individual broadcasters.


Overview:

We are a media management company working with content owners and broadcasters all across the globe, including some of Australia’s premiere broadcasters.

In addition to evaluating and correcting video programmes, there will be requirement for video and audio editing. 

Besides working with video, we also handle subtitle files, artwork and metadata. Your role will also include general media management/workflow tasks.

Specific Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the evaluation and correction of video, audio and subtitle files for production
  • Review technical specifications to recommend checks for our quality control process 
  • Continuously researching and identifying new tools and systems to enhance operational workflows
  • Updating workflows and checklists according to client specifications as needed
Requirements:
  • Experience in media industry and post-production workflows 
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of tools and devices in digital media including Adobe Premiere
  • Experience and understanding of waveform and vector scopes, video codecs and containers, chroma subsampling, GOP structure
  • Understanding of QC automation and error report interpretation 
  • Knowledge of professional subtitling and audio software (e.g., Pro Tools, EZTitles, etc.) desirable
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and also be independently proactive, manage time and multitask.
