Localisation Coordinator

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Localisation Coordinator to join our team and work for a Global leader in the Media & Entertainment industry.


We are seeking a highly proactive Client Services Coordinator to join our Localisation team in our new state of the art facility at Macquarie Park. 

The Localisation Coordinator will be responsible for dubbing, subtitling and picture localisation for the Asian and Pacific territories for a major international distribution Client. 

You will work amongst Theatrical, Home Video, Broadcast and Streaming formats whilst gaining exposure to post-production workflows. 

These processes will be managed by you, from assembling bids to coordinating final deliverables and will require diligence, organisation, self-direction and clear communication.

To accomplish these tasks, you will be supported by the existing teams at Deluxe Australia and well as our worldwide localisation and editorial network at Deluxe located in Los Angeles, New York, London, Barcelona, Paris and Bangalore.
Key responsibilities:
  • Assembling clients' bids for dubbing and subtitling projects
  • Creating work orders in Deluxe's dubbing and subtitling systems to initiate work with our editorial and translator teams
  • Arranging and tracking materials to be sent to our vendors and freelancers
  • Organising schedules that chart out milestones and due dates of the day to day dubbing and subtitle processes and keeping the client apprised of our progress daily
  • Maintain relationships with dubbing studios and clients located in and around the Asia Pacific region (including emerging markets such as Vietnam and Mongolia)
  • Requesting changes to audio / subtitle files that require last minute fixes
  • Oversee the mastering content before mastering QCs (checking sync and playback of. xmls and .wavs)
  • Supporting the other members of the local team when required
  • Supporting the transition of work between the end of Los Angeles' day and the beginning of London's day. 

Skills and experience required include:
  • Degree qualified in commercial discipline supported by relevant systems qualifications
  • Knowledge of post-production workflows, specifically in Localisation
  • Strong Client Interfacing skills, including the ability to understand and interpret customer specification and incorporate into a standardized workflow for production
  • A quick decision maker with strong trouble shooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, actively contributing to the positive culture of peer support
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and or weekends to meet project deadlines
  • Language proficiency in  any of: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and/or Thai will be considered advantageous, but is not essential.
