Videographer

Opportunity for a skilled Videographer to create video content for The Advocate for Children and Young People. 

This role is a 12 month contract, based in Strawberry Hills.


About us
The Advocate for Children and Young People (ACYP) is an independent statutory office that reports to the NSW Parliament. The core functions of the office are to advocate for the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people in NSW aged 0-24 years, and to promote their participation in the decisions that affect their lives.
 
About the role
This is a great opportunity to create high quality video content that amplifies the voice of children and young people in NSW, advocates for their safety, welfare and wellbeing, and engages and communicates effectively.
 
A typical project will require you to film footage, edit it, and mix in some motion graphics to create engaging finished videos for publication on a range of platforms. Your videos will represent the diversity of children and young people in NSW and support the aims of the projects they are produced for.
 
Key activity:
  • Film consultations, events and campaigns
  • Edit the footage to create engaging videos
  • Utilise motion graphic design
  • Export the finished videos in a range of formats, including online, social media, and for television.

This is an temporary role in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 for a period of up to 12 months.

A Recruitment Pool may be created to fill similar roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.

Essential Requirements:
  • Experience in videography, video editing, keying and grading, subtitling, motion graphic design, and formatting for various platforms
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and other necessary software for film development in a Windows environment.

  • Salary range $70,652 pa - $77,363 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
