Director of Partnerships

Terrific opportunity for an exceptional negotiator to fully leverage & grow the company's revenue through commercial partnerships.

The opportunity has now become available for a Director of Partnerships to join this talented team to work with the Director of Market Development to secure their partnerships target through the acquisition of new partners, managing relationships and yield from existing corporate accounts, and ensuring all partnership benefits are fully leveraged.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Creating & developing strategies for new, sustainable partnership models that offer scale, impact and a platform for big ideas.

  • Establishing and executing an ongoing national corporate partnerships strategy that encompasses corporate partners and fundraising events.

  • Implementing and driving the Partnerships Teamís prospecting strategy including evaluation and targeting of prospective supporters both internally and with the companyís Development Committees.

  • Managing and driving promotions for Partnerships initiatives.

  • Internal & external stakeholder management - Successfully managing relationships with partners.

  • Planning, pitching and securing partnership renewals, evaluating partnership value, profitability and satisfaction.

  • Attending and hosting events (including interstate on national tours, and internationally where appropriate), including interval drinks and post-performance events, corporate partner functions, private rehearsals and fundraising events.

  • Business Development.
  • Overseeing the management of the Chairmanís Council program by the Events and Special Projects Manager to ensure that all members are receiving maximum benefit from their membership, that memberships are renewed in a timely manner, all events are well attended, well planned and well executed and that new members are secured.

  • Managing the day to day operations of the Partnerships team, including: - Developing an annual Business Plan.

  • Supervising workload and resource of the Partnerships team & oversee.

  • Team supervision to provide leadership.

  • Effectively managing the Sydney Development Committee and the Sydney Event Committee.

Skills and qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive job-related experience.

  • Successful track record in delivering strategic targets and business development.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in negotiating contractual arrangements.

  • Proven track record in management of budgets and forecasting.

  • Excellent strategic planning, research, analysis and reporting skills.

  • Leadership and a collaborative and flexible approach to problem solving and information sharing.

  • Working knowledge of Australiaís arts industry and sympathy with arts product generally.
