Description of the role:
As the Regional (APAC) Sales Director for our tech, business tech and gaming brands you will lead a team who are responsible for helping our advertising partners market to these valuable audiences.
 
Our key tech and gaming sites – CNET, GameSpot, ZDNet, TechRepublic and Download.com – attract influential decision makers across multiple audiences and key marketing demographics from consumers interested in tech and gaming, to IT decision makers responsible for significant technology investments for their organization.  
 
Role Details:
  • Lead and manage the CBSi sales team and tactics required to deliver revenues to budgets/targets
  • Develop and maintain the sales teams’ knowledge of online advertising trends, lead generation CBSi audience profiles/habits
  • Develop sales plans and revenue forecasts
  • Establish strong relationships both internally and externally with senior client stakeholders
  • Deliver revenue against goals by brands per quarter.
Your Day-to-Day:
  • Oversee sales team and internal interfaces to ensure smooth running of processes and delivery
  • Brand-by-brand weekly forecasting with senior management, supported by accurate campaign and market insights, weekly communication with Global SVP of Sales
  • Establish regular meetings with sales team
  • Develop new revenue initiatives
  • Liaise with the international sales team where necessary.
What you bring to the team:
You have:
  • Proven people manager with the ability to drive high performing teams, skills development, team motivation and create an effective team culture
  • Proven ability to sell conceptually and consultatively
  • Strong knowledge of online advertising and trends
  • Ability to be creative and adaptable in an entrepreneurial & fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication – externally and internally, upwards and downwards
  • High level of attention to detail in proposals, rate calculation and forecasting
  • Demonstrated negotiation expertise with proven ability to deliver client value and multiple levels while protecting CBSi financial & operational interests
  • Track record of performance against targets
  • Knowledge of sales CRM (ideally Salesforce) and sales management systems (ideally Operative)
  • Senior level contacts at agency level and clients.
