SLR Productions is a leading children’s animation company looking for a full time CGI Supervisor for a brand new 26 x half hour Children’s CGI series starting this month. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CGI Specialist to join our established team in Paddington.


The CGI Supervisor will work closely with the Series Director, Producer, Production Manager and production personnel throughout pre-production and production of the series in order to guarantee delivery of all production elements according to the series quality standards, budget, and schedule. They will also ensure all approval processes set by the Producer are met to the full satisfaction of the distributors and broadcasters.


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to regular creative briefs and direction provided by Series Director and the Producer in order to lead the CG quality benchmark of the series.

  • Establish the technical aspects and parameters to build a solid pipeline to achieve the production benchmarks of the show.

  • Working with the Directors and Supervisors to realise the ‘look’ of the show.

  • Interpret design department conceptual illustrations briefs into CG-3D to provide clear direction and explanation for CG service studio to execute asset builds.

  • Provide creative and technical briefs and direction for Environment (Location), Character, Prop and VFX and pother asset creation.

  • Review the progress of the Asset builds, VFX, Layout, Animation, Lighting and compositing stages.

  • Liaise with outsource studio leads and supervisors on a day to day basis.

  • Transcribe Revision notes and approvals to each department and stage via Shotgun.

  • Provide solutions throughout each stage of the production internally, and provide problem-solving support to the service studio as need.

  • Adhere to company policies and workplace guidelines and work collaboratively and communicate clearly within a team environment.

  • Follow schedule and deadlines as requested by the Producer and Production Manager.

  • The Successful candidate will have had at least 5 years experience in CGI production, preferably television production, with a minimum of one full series spent as a CGI supervisor.

     
    The role is for a total of 62 weeks starting March 18th 2019 and running until June 5th 2020.
