Producer, Ad Sales and Brand Partnerships

This important role will be responsible for producing content for National Geographic Portfolio, which will ultimately drives revenue.


FOX Networks Group (FNG) is 21st Century FOX’s international multi-media business. We develop, produce and distribute 300+ wholly-and majority-owned entertainment, sports, factual and movie channels in 45 languages across Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. 

FNG’s core channel brands include FOX, FOX Sports, FOX Life and National Geographic Channel. FNG’s movie channels include FOX Movies and SCM (formerly Star Chinese Movies). 

Our non-linear brands include FOX+, FOX Play and Nat Geo Play.  These networks and their related mobile, non-linear and high- definition extensions, reach over 1.825 billion cumulative households worldwide. 


This role is primarily to conceptualise ideas, write, edit, produce and direct content for all National Geographic Platforms (TV, Digital, Social, Magazine).

The role also includes content production for Brand Funded Content,. Overseeing the Ad Sales & Partnerships production calendar and advise on internal and external resource allocation.



Create integrated client content
  • Brainstorm with Ad Sales team to develop strategic client responses
  • Prepare creative concepts to lead client pitches to both present in person and over email.
  • Prepare accurate production budgets, ensure all budgets are adhered to
  • Conceive, write, direct and produce content for clients within National Geographic’s editorial guidelines
  • Oversee all productions and be main key contact for production freelance and outsourcing
  • Work with and manage client/agency expectations through production process
  • Adhere to production timelines
  • Develop sales tools/hype reels to assist MCN to sell major programming tent poles and promotions
  • Manage legal for all productions including: contracts, release forms.
Prepare international campaigns for local market
  • Localise voice/graphics or outsource as required.
  • Manage and maintain camera equipment and schedule resources.
  • Provide in house filming service to other departments.

  • High level of creativity and able to demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation and imagination;
  • Ability to understand Brand values and key messages for both external clients and our Nat Geo brand, and navigate solutions, which are both on-brand and add value to both the client and National Geographic
  • Understand Australian Media legalities and guidelines
  • Content production relevant to the platform – TV, Digital, Social
  • Proven experience managing timelines and budgets
  • Proven experience in managing production shoots, including talent and crew
  • Possess exceptionally strong communication skills (written and verbal) along with a high level of creativity.
  • Strong video editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder management – ability to build strong relationships with all levels of the business and make accountable risk-based decisions
  • Ability to deliver to short lead times, under pressure when necessary.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Self starter - enjoys solving problems and initiating solutions
  • Beneficial:  Previous experience working within a global/regional/international Company managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Tertiary education in Communications or related field is desirable.
