Role Summary

The Level Crossing Removal Authority is one of the biggest urban renewal projects in Victoria — and video is one of our most important communication tools.  We need someone who is motivated and skilled, with an up to date knowledge of digital trends, to step things up a notch.

Reporting to the Senior Video Producer, you'll be responsible for developing video content from go to whoa — including scriptwriting, talent briefing, location scouting, filming, editing and publishing.  

Key to success in this role will be your proven ability to make innovative and creative video content for social media.  You'll need to be a team player who has exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly with a broad range of people.

Most important is your ability to take important, often complex information and present it in an engaging and relatable way.

Key Accountabilities
  • Developing video content for LXRA’s digital channels, from scriptwriting, talent briefing, location scouting, filming, editing and publishing, in line with corporate guidelines
  • Liaising with stakeholders to deliver edits and final versions of videos for publishing
  • Publishing content for social media, YouTube and other video platforms
  • Maintaining LXRA’s video library
  • Innovating on how to present videos to the community
  • Providing support to the Digital Team in implementing the organisation’s digital communications strategy and on other matters, as required.
Key Selection Criteria
  • Proven ability to demonstrate Creativity, Accountability, Relationships, Empowerment, Safety (the LXRA CARES values)
  • Demonstrated experience in editing video using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Demonstrated experience in the creation of animations and effects using Adobe After Effects
  • Demonstrated experience with editing content to create short videos suitable for sharing on social media
  • Experienced in operating various video cameras and audio equipment
  • Strong written communications skills with the ability to develop video content
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and influence relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the capacity to manage conflicting and changing priorities in order to achieve project and work outcomes, while remaining calm under pressure.
