Insights Analyst

Our Audience data and insights team are looking for an Insights Analyst to partner with ABC content and product divisions to provide research solutions that drive strategic decision-making and audience growth. 


About ABC Audiences

ABC Audiences is the centralised marketing division, servicing brands across TV, News, Radio and Digital. Audiences is made up of a passionate group of marketing, brand, creative and audience insights specialists who have audiences at the heart of all they do. 

They're responsible for leading the ABC’s brand and audience strategies and work collaboratively with partner divisions to lead an integrated approach to audience insights, branding, acquisition and retention strategies, and communication.

About the Role

Audiences are at the core of what we do and in this rewarding role you will conduct research and analysis of reports to enrich and improve our audience engagement.

Reporting to the insights manager you will:
  • Focus on News & Current Affairs
  • Present analysis of audience performance, media trend and behavioural data
  • Identify key audience observations and insights using primary data sources
  • Manage program line-ups logs for the ABC News Channel
  • Develop and manage relationships with internal and external partners.
About You

You will be upbeat with a positive and enthusiastic demeanour. You'll have five or more years experience in marketing research and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, coupled with advanced Microsoft office skills.

You will also have:
  • Proficient skills in Excel and data visualisation tools
  • Strong research skills with attested experience interpreting data, quantitative and qualitative information
  • Willingness to learn and understand TV, digital and radio ratings software and analytical tools to contribute to pan-audience focus
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal and related experience to present research in a clear and concise manner.
