Supervisor Production,Studios & Location

This is a newly created role within a leading broadcaster for someone with a studio / production background and outstanding leadership skills.



Our client is a leading broadcaster with a newly created position within their busy production unit. We’re now looking for someone from a studio/production background with outstanding leadership and change-management skills to drive an enthusiastic team towards a commercially-focused future.


The key purpose of this role is to support the Production Operations Manager by providing effective planning, management and coordination of the studio facilities and its employees.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of studio facilities including planning, implementing and reviewing studio productions
  • Provide team leadership and direction to ensure an understanding & commitment to objectives
  • Oversee team performance management and recommending learning & development actions for staff progression
  • Point of contact for all employee matters
  • Monitor and review operational systems & processes to ensure optimum resource utilisation
  • Oversee rostering, workflows and maintenance of staff records & databases
  • Build and manage effective working relationships with key stakeholders, internal & external
  • Actively promote a positive attitude and uphold the values of the organisation.

Experience / Qualifications required:

  • Demonstrated understanding of studio television production
  • Highly developed leadership skills and experience managing & developing staff, with the ability to communicate direction and guidance towards objectives
  • Strong financial management capabilities
  • Proven organisational skills with ability to plan & manage resources for efficient & cost effective delivery of facilities & staff to meet production requirements
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Confident problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry EA, WH&S and production financing systems.
