Daily Briefings Manager

Isentia is looking for an operational leader, ideally from an editorial background, to lead our Daily Briefings department. 

Based Melbourne or Wellington

The work that we do in observing and reporting on the media and the value we provide to our clients is inherently fascinating. 

Daily Briefings is a high-level media reporting service that alerts clients to key, relevant media items so that they can be informed and prepared as they start their day and is a product that is part of our Insights division.

Here's some more information about the position and who we are looking for.

What does a Daily Briefings Manager do at Isentia?
  • Ideally, you will be based in either Melbourne or Wellington
  • Ultimately responsible for the overall service, quality and timeliness of all Briefings
  • Ensures the highest level of customer service is provided to internal and external clients 
  • Tracking  of monthly finances and regularly reporting revenue figures back to the business
  • Continuously strives to improve our processes  to ensure cost effective production, and identifies cost efficiencies for the Briefings business
  • Manages resources and workforce planning to achieve deadlines and deliver new services
  • Works with the Head of Insights and the Quality Manager to develop new products, services and integrates any changes and developments across the production team
  • Works with team leaders to continuously identify team development needs and deliver relevant team training
  • Works with the rest of the Insights management team to develop new products and services.

  • You are not scared of a challenge and work well under pressure
  • Strong background in operational leadership is essential
  • Extensive experience in workforce planning, recruitment and rostering
  • Experience in disaster recovery 
  • Experience planning, driving, managing and communicating change
  • Editorial background, ideally in print media, and understanding of text, writing and copy highly desirable
  • Client and solutions focused
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • You are a great communicator
  • You use your initiative to operate in a proactive manner, and are adaptable to changing priorities.
