Brand Manager

Role Summary

This is an opportunity to influence Australian culture by giving a voice to unique youth and multicultural programming. Ultimately, that goal is to brilliantly engage a wide variety of audiences with the great content SBS has to offer.

The Brand Manager is an effective and contemporary marketer, who is passionate about engaging and entertaining content. They have a vision for what effective and creative communication looks like and the passion and experience to achieve the best for their catalogue of channels and content verticals that this role works within. 

The role reports into the Marketing Manager, and works cross-department to deliver campaigns and encourage brand love through key content moments.

More about the role

The duties of the Brand Manager include but are not limited to:
  • Implementing the yearly marketing plan as finalised by Marketing Manager for SBS VICELAND, SBS Movies and World Movies via owned, earned and bought media; provide and champion vision for deep audience engagement with the channel and content.
  • Delivering ATL and BTL media campaigns that achieve or outperform set objectives
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, creative, media, strategic integration and audience insight research teams to deliver effective integrated campaigns across all platforms
  • Developing on-air and off-air creative for all channels from concept to final execution
  • Maximise brand awareness by working with internal and external stakeholders including Foxtel, agencies, film festivals and other key partners
  • Demonstrating exceptional  relationship  management skills
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to identify relevant strategic alliances and partnerships to undertake joint marketing activities to extend the reach of all channels and drive sponsorship value
  • Flexible approach to working out alternatives and coping with ever changing work demands.

You'll also need:
  • At least four years' demonstrated experience managing, coordinating and implementing ATL and BTL marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Digital/social experience is beneficial
  • Makes an impact
  • Engaging, open to and a challenger of new ideas, proactive and highly energetic; flawless personal and professional relationship building skills
  • You must have a genuine passion for media
  • Because this process will be competitive, broadcast media experience will be an advantage.
