Recruitment Advisor

This is a 12 month maternity leave contract and would suit an experienced recruiter with excellent stakeholder management skills.


About the ABC

Our Engagement team is focussed on making the ABC a great place to work and bringing a co-ordinated effort to internal and external stakeholder management. 

A national team provides services to ABC managers and staff in the areas of people strategy, HR services, diversity, learning, WHS, payroll, internal communications and media relations.
 
About the Role

Working in a close knit team who are committed to making the ABC a great place to work, you'll be responsible for providing support and advice to managers on a variety of recruitment policies and procedures, providing them with the best possible recruitment service.  

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing specialist recruitment services including sourcing and attraction strategies for both general and diversity targeted recruitment;
  • Drafting and placement of internal/external advertisements, utilising an e-recruitment system (PageUpPeople);
  • Providing sourcing and attraction strategies to management, short listing and development of screening and interview questions as well as candidate management;
  • Advising hiring managers on effective selection techniques;
  • Ensuring compliance with ABC recruitment policies, processes and legislative requirements and the ABC Enterprise Agreement are adhered to;
  • Managing the administrative functions of the recruitment process using the PageUpPeople system; maintaining system settings, managing user access, generating reports, creating application forms and job templates;
  • Candidate management via the e-recruitment system;
  • Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external applicants, via phone and email.
 About You

You are an experienced recruiter perhaps from an Agency environment keen to escape the demands of meeting monthly sales targets or you may be from an internal recruitment role, seeking your next challenge.  

You have exceptional time management, organisational and administration skills, as there is a strong administrative component to the role.   

Does this sound you like you?
  • Previous experience in a recruitment consulting or resourcing role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related field desirable;
  • Knowledge of best practice recruitment strategies and ability to innovate and continuously improve current recruitment practices;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience using an e-Recruitment system highly desirable, preferably PageUp;
  • Proven track record in meeting tight deadlines with an aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task essential;
  • Displays professionalism, personal drive and initiative.
