Investment Development Manager, Documentary

We are looking for a talented professional to join our Documentary Unit.


Screen Australia is the Commonwealth Government’s primary agency for supporting Australian screen projects, practitioners and businesses.  We support projects of scale and ambition, distinct local stories told with strong creative voices and risk-taking content for all platforms.

 

Screen Australia’s Documentary Unit funds around 95 hours of documentaries a year to facilitate documentary filmmakers bringing their stories to screens around the world.


As an Investment Development Manager, you will work with the documentary team and industry stakeholders to help compile Screen Australia’s documentary slate, which will include assessing and managing applications and funded projects. This is a busy role, requiring management of multiple projects through all stages of the funding and monitoring cycle.

 

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Australian documentary industry, and be actively interested in new and evolving distribution platforms. They will have relevant creative and practical experience and skills, demonstrate a willingness to contribute to an enthusiastically engaged team and be excited about the opportunity to work at Screen Australia.
