Senior Communications Coordinator

About the Role

As the Senior Communications Coordinator you will provide communications expertise, content development, graphic design and web publishing to support projects in Clinical Informatics in line with the strategic plan and reform agenda. In addition, you will provide high level specialist knowledge and advice to the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

The primary function of Clinical Informatics is to provide and co-ordinate a diverse range of local Information and Communications Technology services to Metro South Health. Services provided by Clinical Informatics include:
  • Local application development and support
  • Project management including Digital Hospital /ieMR
  • Digital Adoption Services
  • Digital Training Services
  • Clinical systems
  • Local systems access
  • Desktop support
  • Procurement of local applications and phones
  • Support and implementation of new innovative technologies.
Working collaboratively as part of the team you will:
  • Lead the work with Project Directors and Managers to integrate communications activities into Program/Project work plans and schedules.
  • Develop communication strategies to support the overarching strategy and individual tactical implementation plans relevant to each location, delivery partner or tranche as relevant.
  • Create customer-friendly messaging and rollout tactical plan including online and digital, advertising, flyers, signage, on-the-ground and other tactics as required.
  • Write, edit and design a variety of communications collateral including web content, video content, newsletters, brochures, presentations and displays.
  • Work and engage with clinicians and trainers across Metro South Health to assist with the ongoing delivery of communication support to new digital innovation projects and the ongoing ieMR communications.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders on all project related matters.
  • Apply advanced skills in the use of, Adobe Creative suite, DrupalŪ to create, modify and maintain web content, plus all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Manage and coordinate site visits, including external visitors and events in relation to Clinical Informatics Digital programs of work.
  • Complete work packages as agreed with the Project Manager and work as part of a project team in a dynamic environment.
