Position Overview:
As the Brand & Talent Manager for Aunty Donna, you will play a pivotal role in steering the success of one of Australia’s most unique comedy collectives. This multifaceted position requires you to merge creative oversight with operational excellence, ensuring the group's absurdist humor reaches and resonates with a growing global audience while supporting the creative goals of the brand.
You will oversee all aspects of the Aunty Donna brand, from content creation and post-production to marketing campaigns and audience engagement. Acting as both a strategic leader and a talent representative, you’ll ensure consistency with their comedic voice while fostering relationships with industry stakeholders, securing opportunities, and managing contracts, expanding their influence in Australia and internationally.
A critical aspect of your role will involve managing post-production workflows, scheduling, and forecasting to ensure the timely delivery of polished, high-quality content. Whether it’s coordinating live shows, TV projects, merchandise launches, or digital campaigns, you’ll balance multiple small to large scale concurrent projects while anticipating future needs and market trends.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with Aunty Donna, the Managing Director, their creative team, and external collaborators to align efforts, optimize workflows, and seize opportunities to expand the brand’s reach. Whether you’re developing innovative social media strategies, securing brand partnerships, or organizing fan-focused initiatives, you’ll be instrumental in growing Aunty Donna’s legacy as a comedic powerhouse.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Management & Strategy
Develop and implement a long-term strategic vision for Aunty Donna, ensuring alignment with their creative goals and unique comedic identity.
Manage the Aunty Donna brand across live shows, TV projects, digital platforms, podcasts, and merchandise.
Identify opportunities to grow the brand, including new revenue streams, international expansion, and partnerships with like-minded creators or organizations.
2. Talent Representation
Act as the primary representative for Aunty Donna, negotiating contracts and securing opportunities in live performance, television, streaming, and media.
Cultivate relationships with key industry players, including festival organizers, venue managers, networks, and sponsors.
Advocate for Aunty Donna in the comedy and entertainment industries.
3. Scheduling, Forecasting, and Planning
Create and manage detailed production schedules for live tours, content creation, and marketing campaigns.
Forecast project timelines, resources, and market trends to anticipate opportunities and challenges.
Maintain a comprehensive calendar that balances creative, promotional, and business commitments.
4. Post-Production & Content Oversight
(In collaboration with the Post Production Supervisor)
Supervise post-production workflows for all projects, ensuring high-quality content is delivered on time and on budget.
Oversee asset organization and archiving, enabling seamless access to past and ongoing projects.
Work with editors, designers, and production staff to maintain Aunty Donna’s comedic tone and production standards.
5. Marketing & Campaign Management
(In collaboration with with the Marketing Manager)
Execute innovative marketing campaigns for live tours, merchandise, digital releases, and other initiatives.
Manage social media strategies that embody Aunty Donna’s humor and drive fan engagement on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
Monitor campaign performance, using data to optimize future efforts and enhance audience reach.
6. Booking & Touring
(In Collaboration with Century Entertainment)
Oversee & act as the conduit for all live performance bookings, ensuring all logistical brand needs are efficiently managed.
Coordinate tour marketing efforts to maximize ticket sales and fan engagement.
7. Partnerships & Sponsorships
(In Collaboration with the Head of Commercial & Brand Reps)
Execute partnerships, sponsorships, and endorsements that align with Aunty Donna’s comedic style and brand values.
Collaborate with streaming platforms, networks, and production partners to distribute and promote content.
8. Administrative Leadership
Manage budgets, contracts, and financial aspects of projects to ensure profitability and compliance.
Coordinate with external teams, including legal, financial, and creative professionals, to support Aunty Donna’s brand needs.
Lead and collaborate with a small team of marketers, production staff, and freelancers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- 5+ years of experience in talent management, brand development, or marketing within the entertainment or comedy industries.
- Strong understanding of comedy production, post-production workflows, and live performance management.
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience handling contracts and sponsorship deals.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with the Australian and international comedy landscape.
- Connections with industry players, including networks, festivals, and sponsors.
- Experience with digital content platforms (e.g., YouTube, TikTok) and tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or project management software.
